Was it FedEx? The thesis paper that have received a failing mark. But eventually prove the professor wrong when the two MBA students pursued their project. Now its one of the worlds biggest and successful companies.
Yes! Now I agree that it is normal for people to doubt your beliefs. You need not win the conversation by arguing with your opinions. You show them how and why it was your course of action (at the time they do not agree) by waiting for the right moment it blossoms.
Last June 2006, they did not believe that the easiest and fastest way to penetrate a country is through its Capital City. Everyone was against it but I still made time to visit and get the necessary connections. That month of 2006, they saw only one option...theirs. I showed them another but wasn't given the chance to pursue it.
Some would say to follow what you believe in. But that depends on the situation... what is at risk? In my case, my life was on the line, the very reason I did not push for it. I played safe, but hid something for what I believe in, to show them...
A new company is emerging in Thailand. And I never really left it behind.
